It’s the big things that catch our attention.
We think those are what will make all the difference.
But in reality, it’s the little things.
The basics. The physiological needs.
The things that just fade into the background. Until we experience a change.
And then we suddenly realise what’s important. We’re suddenly aware of the low-level discontent we’ve been putting up with.
The change for me was a change of location.
I got to experience what community could be like. I got to experience how air could feel, how water could taste.
It completely altered my perceptions. It changed my concept of what is possible.
Now I have a better idea of where I want to be headed.
