safe in the knowledge

How you see your position in the world affects how you approach every interaction.

Are you at risk? Is everyone out to get you?

Are you playing a zero sum game? Is the only way that you can succeed for somone else to lose?

Is everyone else looking to take advantage of you just for their own benefit?

It’s unlikely.

Yes people do act in a selfish, self-interested manner.

But chances are it’s not fundamentally antagonistic. Things are very rarely zero-sum.

It’s about whether you choose to see them that way.
