Things only seem hard if there’s something else you’d rather be doing instead.
A conflict arises and we find ourselves struggling to get the work done.
Time drags by. Instead of focusing on the task at hand, we’re just waiting until we can do the thing we really want to be doing.
When you act selfishly, when you’re doing what you want, when you’re in control, time disappears. We get lost in the work to the extent that it doesn’t feel like work at all.
That’s not to say that the only work you should do is that which comes easily. Or that as soon as it starts to feel difficult you should give up.
Every circumstance can be seen as an opportunity to work for yourself, to see how much you can grow, to see what you can gain.
You just have to step up.
