one at a time

In one of the woods where I walk, a tree has fallen across the footpath.

So, unable to use the existing route any longer, a new path has been created.

A little detour round the tree.

There aren’t any markers. There aren’t any signs telling people where to go. The first person who came across the tree blocking their way must have made a decision. They looked at it and said, ‘This looks like a good way to go instead.’

And so the new path was formed.

That’s all it takes.

One person to say, ‘What if rather than going this way, I did it differently?’

Then see if it sticks. See if people start to follow.
