Every situation is an opportunity to learn.
Every person you meet has something to teach you.
Sometimes it doesn’t seem like that is the case. But I believe the issue is that we don’t consider how to use the knowledge being provided.
We can’t just take everything literally, at face value.
We have to really understand what’s being said. The concepts behind it, the abstract ideas, the mechanism. Find the principles.
Then we can ask, “How can I apply this to my situation?” It enables us to grow, no matter what. It stops us from ignoring chance to learn.
But more than that, it stops us from taking things for granted.
It stops us from thinking we always know better.
There is always something more we can be taught. We just have to be able to see it.
