I’ve come up with a better definition for what I want to achieve.

I want to be useful to people.

As useful as possible to as many people as possible.

Previously I’d had an idea that that’s what I wanted. But I hadn’t quite phrased it correctly. I thought what I wanted was to help people.

But helping people implies a superiority and inferiority relationship. ‘I’m better than you and you need my help.’

Being useful is much more than that though.

It’s recognising that we all have advantages to make the most of. We have resources at our disposal, things we’re uniquely placed to do. And these things can be valuable to other people.

So now I have a better framework I can turn it into better actions.

How can I be useful?
