When we are born, we are like a seed in a ploughed field.
We are sown in a furrow. We don’t choose which one, or what the furrow is like. We’re just thrown there.
That’s where we grow. That’s where we spend our life. And that’s where we are harvested.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
We don’t have to stay where we’re put. If we don’t like the furrow we’re in, we can go and try another one.
Or maybe even a different field.
There’s nothing really stopping us. The walls of the furrow might look steep, but they’re not insurmountable. It might be difficult in the short term but longer term, who knows what the potential benefits might be.
Whether we’re too uncomfortable or too comfortable, we can always find somewhere else to be.
Find a furrow that suits you.
