How many friends would you say you have?
Maybe that depends how you define a ‘friend’.
Some people get to that stage fairly quickly. They make the transition from acquaintance to friendship almost immediately. The trust and openness is easy to build.
For others it takes a bit longer.
Consequently different friendship structures emerge.
Some people have lots of acquaintances, people they would recognise and talk briefly with but not much more. Others feel more comfortable staying in touch with lots of people, sharing and talking deeply.
Neither is right nor wrong.
We just have to recognise what works better for us.
