diminishing returns

There comes a point where more doesn’t necessarily makes things any better.

Spending more time or more effort or more money doesn’t get you any closer to being sure about the decision you have to make. You get most of your information fairly early on and beyond that it becomes a waste.

This applies when you can’t easily collect any more information and when there isn’t any information for you to collect even if you wanted to.

Just make a decision and move on.

Be open with yourself about how you’re making that decision but just make it.

It’s not worth it. It’s not worth trying to second guess or justify your thought process based on endless external possibilities.

Get it done and start acting.
