Why do we behave in a certain way? Why do we make certain choices, do certain things, think certain ways?

Because we can?

That isn’t sufficient reason.

Just because we can doesn’t mean we should. We need to have a better justification than that. One that doesn’t just rely on personal preference.

However the opposite is also true.

Just because we can’t, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t.

The fact that something doesn’t appear possible right now, doesn’t mean that we ought not to try.

The reasons for it appearing impossible may well be hidden to us. We won’t know until we go looking.

Face value isn’t enough.

Every choice deserves more thought than that.
