We don’t have to try and do everything ourselves.
In fact, that can be a dangerous tactic to pursue.
It might work ok to start with. But eventually we will start having to compromise.
So we have to decide what jobs we can delegate. We have to decide what jobs we want to delegate.
There’s more to it than, ‘I don’t like this, you do it’ or, ‘I don’t want to do this, can you do it for me?’
We can’t just stop and expect someone else to carry on where we left off.
Letting somebody else take responsibility is a chance for things to be done better.
First you have to be able to let it happen.
Then you have to make sure the work is still being done properly.
You might not be doing it, but that doesn’t mean the work isn’t important.
